About the Team

Vernon graduated from Campbell Law School in 1986 and has dedicated his career to serving the legal needs of his community. With over 35 years of experience, his practice focuses on criminal defense, civil litigation, family and domestic law, personal injury, wills and estate planning, and speeding/traffic tickets.

For 25 years, Vernon worked in private practice in Dunn before serving as the elected District Attorney for Harnett and Lee Counties for a decade. His extensive background as both a prosecutor and defense attorney equips him with a unique perspective and a wealth of experience in trial work and negotiation.



Vernon is also a certified family financial mediator and Superior Court mediator, bringing a problem-solving mindset and a wealth of knowledge to every case. A native of Erwin, Vernon has dedicated his career to serving the people of Harnett County. He is active in his community, deeply compassionate toward others, and fiercely committed to advocating for his clients.

Katelyn is a highly skilled and dedicated paralegal who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our firm. Katelyn earned her Bachelors degree in Sociology and Criminology at Meredith College and subsequently obtained her paralegal certification from Johnston Community College. Katelyn is a North Carolina State Certified Paralegal, a testament to her commitment to excellence in the legal field. Her expertise and attention to detail make her an invaluable asset to our team, ensuring our clients receive the highest quality of legal support.
